Take your salsa dancing beyond memorizing turn patterns and footwork sequences. Salsa Con Sabor: Body Movement & Groove is an intensive, two-hour deep dive designed to connect your movement directly to the rhythm, unlock natural torso and hip isolations, and cultivate effortless personal style.
This marks our final workshop at Somos Studios for the year, as well as our first dedicated Salsa workshop since August. Whether your goal is to look more fluid on the social dance floor or understand the functional mechanics behind grounded Salsa movement, this workshop provides the tools, drills, and feedback needed to dance with authentic flavour, fire, and flow.
What You Will Learn
Core & Ribcage Mechanics: Break down upper-body isolations, ribcage shifts, and shoulder movement without looking robotic or stiff.
Grounded Weight Transfers: Master hip action, foot pressure, and knee flex to build balance, stability, and speed.
Tumbao & Musical Connection: Align your movement with the pulse of the music to make your dancing feel responsive rather than rehearsed.
Styling & Personal Sabor: Transition out of purely mechanical execution into expressive, organic movement that reflects your individuality on the social floor.
Who It Is For
Social dancers wanting to look more relaxed, confident, and expressive.
Dancers looking to clean up foundational body movement mechanics.
Dancers looking for targeted drills and personal corrections in a focused studio environment.
